Yacht Rental in Alanya: 2026 Prices, Options and Season

Yacht rental in Alanya comes in three practical formats: a shared group boat trip of four to five hours, a private charter booked by the hour or in a four-hour block, and a full private day on the water. All of them come with a captain — Alanya is a crewed market, and no self-skippered bareboat option turns up here. A dedicated week-long charter isn’t a standard product in Alanya either; if that’s what you want, it’s worth asking an agent directly rather than searching listings.

Rough 2026 money: shared day cruises run about $20–$40 per person including lunch and soft drinks. Private boats start around $129–$250 an hour depending on size, a four-hour private block typically sits around £250–£400 for the whole boat, and a full private day ranges from roughly €450 for a 13-metre boat to €2,000 for a 23-metre one.

The season that matters for an Alanya yacht charter is May to October. September is the sweet spot: sea near its warmest, air back in the high 20s, prices softening after the July–August peak.

How to rent a yacht in Alanya: what the options actually are

There are three formats, and the right one depends on how many of you there are. Every boat comes with its own captain and crew, so nobody in your group needs a licence or experience.

The thing most pages don’t spell out: once you fill a private boat, the per-person maths closes in on a group ticket. A $250 boat split five ways is $50 each — for roughly the price of a seat on a crowded group cruise, you get the whole deck.

Who this isn’t for: anyone who wants to steer the boat themselves. If bareboat rental is what you’re after, Alanya is the wrong port — the Fethiye and Göcek side of the coast is where that market lives. And if you want a week living aboard rather than an afternoon out, this is not that either.

Alanya yacht charter prices in 2026: per hour, per day, per group

Expect roughly $20–$40 per person for a shared cruise and €450–€2,000 for a full private day, depending on boat size. The warning that belongs on every Alanya price list: quotes float between USD, EUR, GBP and Turkish lira, and the lira moves fast. Treat these as starting ranges and confirm the actual number in writing before you pay anything.

Operators openly raise prices in July and August. Booking the same boat in late May or late September usually costs less for warmer water than June.

What’s included in the price and what isn’t

A standard Alanya boat trip price covers the captain and crew, fuel, insurance, hotel transfer, lunch or dinner on board, unlimited soft drinks and several swim stops. Alcohol and guide services are the usual exclusions.

Tip: ask what happens if the weather cancels your date. Refund and rescheduling terms are the one thing almost no Alanya listing publishes, and the answer varies by operator.

Best time of year for an Alanya boat trip: season and sea temperature

May to October is the practical charter season in Alanya, and September is the month most locals pick. The sea around Alanya averages about 22–23°C across the year, peaking near 28–29°C in August and dropping to around 17°C in February.

Alanya boat trip routes: a few hours versus a full day

Two completely different routes get sold under the same name. The short one hugs the town; the long one starts 44 km down the coast at Gazipaşa and needs a whole day.

The caves near the castle are passed close, not entered. Dolphins turn up on both routes sometimes — treat sightings as luck, not an itinerary item.

Which airport to use for an Alanya yacht charter

Gazipaşa (GZP) is the airport to check first: it’s about 40–41 km from Alanya, roughly 35–45 minutes by transfer. Antalya (AYT) is the bigger hub but sits about 125 km away, around two hours by road.

If a GZP flight exists on your route, it saves about 1.5 hours each way. Airport buses also run from Gazipaşa to Alanya Bus Station if you’d rather not pay for a private car.

How to avoid overpaying or getting scammed on an Alanya yacht charter

Book directly with the boat operator or a licensed agent, not from a street ticket stand — the classic complaint in Alanya is a street seller quoting one price and asking for more at the pier. A 20–30% deposit is normal; being asked for the full sum upfront by someone you can’t verify is not.

Before paying, check three things: the boat’s passenger licence, life jackets in the right sizes, and a written confirmation of the route, duration and what the price covers.

If you’d rather not compare two dozen listings yourself, a charter agent does the shortlisting. Yachting Retreat works as a charter agent alongside its own trips: it helps travellers find the right boat to hire, with or without a skipper, and founder and lead skipper Sergey Tarasov goes through the options personally. On the Turkish coast that often means looking at a traditional wooden gulet as well as a modern motor yacht.

If a few hours off Alanya leaves you wanting more, our 7-day small-group trips are the longer version of the same idea — see what a yachting retreat is or look through the upcoming trips and send a request.

Frequently asked questions about yacht rental in Alanya

Do you need experience or a licence to rent a yacht in Alanya?

No. Every yacht and boat rental found in Alanya comes with a captain and crew, so no licence or sailing experience is required from guests. Self-skippered bareboat charter does not appear to be offered in Alanya.

Can you rent a yacht in Alanya in winter?

Availability is very limited. Alanya enters its quiet season in November and sea temperatures drop to around 17°C by February, so most charter boats stop running or operate only on request — check with operators directly rather than assuming.

Is an Alanya boat trip suitable for children?

Yes, both shared cruises and private charters take children, and shared trips usually have reduced child fares. Confirm in advance that the boat carries child-size life jackets, as listings rarely specify this.

Can you bring your own alcohol onto a chartered yacht in Alanya?

Alcohol is almost always excluded from the price, and policies on bringing your own vary by boat. Ask the operator before booking — some allow it, others sell drinks on board only.
